8 killed in road mishap in northern India

At least eight people have been killed and three others sustained injuries in a road mishap in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh Friday, a senior police official said.

"The mishap happened when a tempo in which the victims were traveling collided with a truck in Uttar Pradesh's Rae Bareli district," he said.

While eight people died on the spot, those injured have been admitted to a local hospital, the official said.

A probe has been ordered into the incident, he added. Endi
