Singapore stocks close 0.45 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 14.89 points, or 0.45 percent, to close at 3,342.73.

A total of 1.27 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 779 million Singapore dollars (581 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 248 to 163, while 550 others finished unchanged.

The STI index down 3.30 points, or 0.10 percent, to close at 3, 327.84 on Thursday. Endi
