Xinhua, July 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

At least 13 children and a woman escort were injured when a high tension power cable fell on their school bus in the western Indian state of Rajasthan Friday, a police official said.

"The incident happened at Baseri near Dholpur when some 45 students were on their way to school. A high tension wire fell on the bus following which its tyres caught fire," he said, on condition of anonymity.

Most of the students sustained injuries while they tried to alight from the bus, the official said, adding that the injured have been admitted to a local hospital where the condition of three are said to be serious.

A probe has been ordered into the incident, said the officer. Endi
