1st LD: 10 injured in 2 explosions in Colombian capital

Xinhua, July 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

About ten people were injured in two explosions here on Thursday afternoon, local media reported.

One of the explosions took place in the busy financial district of Bogota, and the other in the city center.

The explosions occurred almost simultaneously in two different buildings of the same financial company Porvenir SA, Bogota's Metropolitan Police Director Humberto Guatibonza told a press conference.

Colombian police closed the streets near the sites of the blasts, while helicopters were seen flying over the affected areas.

Guatibonza said they had opened an investigation "to capture those responsible for the terrorist attacks."

"We are reviewing the cameras of both places and we already have some evidence. We have identified those allegedly responsible and (they) will be soon captured," he said. Endi
