Meteorologists warn of heat wave in S China

China's meteorological authority issued a yellow warning for high temperature in the country's southern regions Sunday.

Heat wave will sweep across most of the south China including Chongqing Municipality and Hunan, Jiangxi and Hainan provinces, with soaring temperature up to 39 degrees Celsius in some areas, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said.

The NMC's alerts are categorized as blue, yellow, orange and red as the severity of disasters ascends. Endi
