Ronaldo speaks to confirm he is happy at Madrid

Xinhua, June 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

Real Madrid's Portuguese international striker Cristiano Ronaldo insists he is happy at the club, despite the frustrations of seeing last season pass by without winning any major titles.

Ronaldo had not spoken to the press since the controversy surrounding his 30th birthday party the same day that Real Madrid lost 4-0 to neighbors Atletico in January.

Recent days had seen the Spanish press speculate that this could be the moment to sell the 30-year-old who was also rumored to be unhappy at the current conflict between Real Madrid and central defender Sergio Ramos.

In the face of that, Ronaldo decided to break his silence with a statement in Portuguese newspaper 'A Bola.'

"I am doing this to conform that rumors of a conflict between Real Madrid and myself are totally false," said Ronaldo.

"I am very happy at the best club in the world and also confident that we are about to start a new period which is going to be full of success," he said, before re-affirming his words.

"I repeat once again that I am at the best club in the world, where I want to be able to win again. I have not spoken to any other media and I am not going to do so while I on holiday, I am happy with Real Madrid and they are happy with me," he insisted. Endi
