Singapore stocks close 0.86 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 28.97 points, or 0.86 percent, to close at 3,320.90.

A total of 1.18 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 925.7 million Singapore dollars (688.1 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 256 to 181, while 526 others finished unchanged.
