The event that runs June 26-28 will take place at the PRO Sports Center in St. Petersburg.

"We have been preparing well for the last one month and it is time for us to go and battle top players from around the world," Kawooya told Xinhua.

Kawooya, Uganda's top squash player who also participated in the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Scotland said having played in two tournaments in Russia before, he knows what to expect there.

John Bosco Tamwesigire, Chairman Uganda Rackets Squash Association told Xinhua in an interview that he expects the two players to put up a good performance because they have been working hard.

"It is always good to try and expose our players in international tournaments as much as possible," he added.
