Tokyo shares open lower on losses in U.S. market

Tokyo shares opened lower Friday following downturn in the overnight U.S. market due to continuous concerns over Greece debt talks.

At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 63.43 points, or 0.31 percent, from Thursday to 20,707.97.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 9.06 points, or 0.54 percent, to 1, 661.85. Endi
