Australian dollar fractionally higher on Friday

Xinhua, June 26, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Australian dollar was trading slightly higher in overnight trade on Friday.

The local unit was trading at 77.39 U.S. cents, up from 77.30 U. S. cents on Thursday.

It was slightly higher against the U.S. dollar which moved little overnight after the release of mixed data and no progress in Greece debt talks.

Local analysts were tipping a resumption of a strong U.S. dollar trend in the coming months, which could push the Australian currency down to 75 U.S. cents. Endi
