A young woman and two men were wounded in two sperate shootings in the southern part of Los Angeles, local police authority confirmed on Saturday.
The first shooting occurred at 5:30 p.m. Saturday (0030 GMT Sunday) at the Manchester Recreation Center of Los Angeles, which hurt a young woman who was later taken to the California Hospital Medical Center and in stable condition, said Sgt. Two vehicles entered the park and a passenger got out of one vehicle and opened fire with a gun that appeared to be an AK-47 assault rifle, said the police officer.
Investigators believe the shooting was gang-related, but do not know the shooter's intended victim or victims, Linder said.
Meanwhile, about an hour before the shooting, another two men were wounded by a gunman in the Holly Park which also located in the southern part of Los Angeles.
One of the two victims was struck in the face and one shoulder while the other was shot in a leg, and both of them were hospitalized and in stable condition, said Hawthorne police Lt. Eric Lane.
The suspect was described as a 20-year-old man and his motivation was still unclear, said the police officer. Endi
