Six fugitives back to China from Indonesia

Xinhua, June 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

Six wanted suspects were returned to China from Indonesia on Sunday morning, said the Ministry of Public Security.

They are added to the 256 fugitives who have been handed back to China from more than 30 countries and regions since the operation of "Fox Hunt 2015" started in April, said the ministry in a press release.

Three of the six suspects are wanted by Interpol under Red Notice, including one surnamed Chen, who is suspected of contract fraud involving about 10 million yuan (1.63 million US dollars).

Chinese police also retrieved fund and property worth about 30 million yuan, the statement said.

It has been the first joint operation with Indonesian police in the "Fox Hunt 2015".

The ministry pledged to step up the hunt and expand cooperation with foreign police to round up those still at large. Endi
