Australian richest person again pursues movie makers

Australia's richest person Gina Rinehart launched new court action on Friday against the people behind a popular two part TV mini-series about her life which aired earlier this year.

It is the third time the iron ore billionaire has taken the matter to court over the series, angry over the depiction in the film of her, her family and father Lang Hancock who established the mining company.

In the first two cases she sought restitution from the commercial entities involved, production company Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder and broadcaster the Nine Network.

But in the case lodged Friday, Rinehart has dropped the second case, a defamation action against the companies, and instead named individuals she will sue -- including the actress who played her, Claudia Karvan.

She is claiming misleading and deceptive conduct by Karvan and producers Paul Bennett and Michael Cordell.

It exposes the individuals, and not the commercial companies they work for, to enormous financial losses if Rinehart wins.

Meanwhile Rinehart's bitter family feud continues after her daughter Bianca and son John re-launched court action against Rinehart last week.

They alleged she had transferred assets out of a family trust she had kept secret from them. Endi
