French stock market index up 0.27 pct on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with a slight advance of 0.27 percent at 4,803.48 points on Thursday, up 12.86 points.

Supported by Wall Street's strong performance, the CAC 40 closed slightly higher on Thursday with 26 of the 40 selected gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Thursday were Orange, up 1.86 percent, Veolia Environnement and Vinci, both up 1.20 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Thursday were Valeo, down 2.13 percent, ArcelorMittal, down 1.96 percent, and Renault, down 1.18 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with a decrease of 1.02 percent at 4,790.62 points, down 49.24 points. Endit
