Urgent: Denmark kicks off parliamentary elections

Xinhua, June 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

Denmark started on Thursday a general election where the electorate will decide which candidates and political parties will be represented in the parliament.

At 9:00 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), polling stations opened throughout Denmark in city halls, schools and sports centers as more than 4 million registered voters trickled in to cast their ballots.

The voters will elect 179 members of the unicameral Danish parliament, or the Folketing. Endi
