Top legislature schedules bi-monthly session

China's top legislature will convene its bi-monthly session from June 24 to July 1, according to a statement issued after a chairpersons' meeting on Wednesday.

Zhang Dejiang, chairman of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, presided over the meeting.

The 15th bi-monthly session of this NPC Standing Committee will see more deliberation of a draft law on national security, a draft amendment to the Criminal Law and an amended draft of the law on air pollution control.

Legislators will also deliberate on proposals to review a draft law on cyberspace security and a draft decision to institutionalize pledges of allegiance to the Constitution.

Legislators will also review proposals concerning reform of public interest litigation, establishment of new development banks and a treaty to facilitate multinational tax collection and management.

And legislators will deliberate on a report by the State Council on the final accounts of the central government in 2014. Endi
