Albanian Minister of Interior Saimir Tahiri announced on Tuesday the measures to ensure safety of visitors and holidaymakers during the summer tourist season.

According to Albanian Daily News, Tahiri said that security is an important factor in attracting foreign tourists to Albania.

Speaking at an event in the coastal town of Shengjin, northern Albania, Tahiri said that starting from Wednesday, State police will be out in full force to ensure maximum safety for all holidaymakers who choose Albania as their prime holiday destination.

"We have decided to set up 31 mobile police stations along Albania's entire coastline," Tahiri said.

Tahiri also urged police officers to be more careful in observing quality standards and relations between police and citizens, as the only way to achieve better results than last summer. Endit
