Spanish sport shooter earns gold at European Games

Xinhua, June 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

Fatima Galvez, representing Spain at the 2015 European Games, won the gold medal in the women's trap at the Baku Shooting Centre on Tuesday.

She defeated Arianna Perilli of San Marino in the final. The bronze medal match was an all-Russian affair, with Elena Tkach emerging victorious against Tatiana Barsuk.

Galvez said: "I trained a lot for these Games because in my last competition, two or three weeks ago, the semi-final was not so good, and I could only finish third. Since then, I have been training more to get ready for this."

Today is the fifth day of the inaugural 2015 Baku European Games featuring more than 6,000 athletes from 50 European countries and regions competing in 20 sports. Endi
