Tokyo shares open lower on U.S. losses

Tokyo shares opened slightly lower Tuesday following losses in the overnight U.S. market.

At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average inched down 28. 17 points, or 0.14 percent, from Monday to 20,359.62.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 3.59 points, or 0.22 percent, to 1, 648.33. Endi
