Xavi: Neymar should 'seriously think about how he acts'

Xinhua, June 13, 2015 Adjust font size:

Former spanish international Xavier Hernandez Creus gave his ex-mates in club Neymar da Silva a suggestion when leaving Barcelona. He says Neymar must learn to show more respect to his opponents on the field.

In the Copa de Rey finals, Neymar showed a rainbow against Athletic Bilbao. Xavi thought that Neymar's style may play in Brazil, but it is seen as a lack of respect in Spain.

"Those things in Brazil are accepted, but not so much in Spain. He should reflect on it because he's an extraordinary guy, a hard worker and humble," Xavi said.

In Barcelona club's bus winning ceremony parade, the 35-year-old pushed Neymar violently and may had some duty words in his mouth.

Xavi explained that, "Some players were trying to remove my shoes and pushing me when I was standing on the edge of the bus, I told them to stop fooling around and that they should've been focusing on the fans instead."

"It's okay to have three or four beers, but the parade was for the fans and to thank them," he added. Endit
