Urgent: Iran's president says sanctions against country "effective, not successful"

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said Saturday that the western sanctions against the country over its nuclear program have been "effective, but not successful."

"The main purpose of the sanctions was to surrender us (to the West's wills) which was not successful," Rouhani said, adding that "however, sanctions have caused problems to us" in the daily lives of people and foreign investments. Endit
