Field hockey World League quarterfinal showdown set for Thrusday

Holland vs Spain, Germany vs South Korea, New Zealand vs Canada and Argentina vs Japan will be Thursday's quarter-final showdown at the men's field hockey World League in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

With three Olympic slots at stake, the tournament take place in the National Center of High Performance Athletics (CeNARD) located in the Nunez neighborhood in the north of the capital.

Argentina, coached by Carlos Retegui, ended their preliminary phase on top form after defeating Austria (3-0), Canada (2-1), Germany (4-3) and Spain (1-0).

The program for the quarter finals is as follows:

1-12:30 local time (15:30 GMT), Holland vs. Spain

2-15:00 local time (18:00 GMT), Germany vs. South Korea

3-17:30 local time (20:30 GMT), New Zealand vs. Canada

4-20:00 local time (23:00 GMT), Argentina vs. Japan
