Albania's youth jobless rate at 34.1 pct

The jobless rate for Albania's young people aged 15-29 was 34.1 percent in the first quarter of 2015, Albanian Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) said on Wednesday.

INSTAT figures also showed the unemployment rate for people aged 15-64 was 17.3 percent.

During Q1 2015, the number of employed people aged 15-64 was 1,039,545 while the number of unemployed aged 15-64 was 217,647, according to the figures.

Around 63 percent of the population aged 15-64 is active in the labor market, either employed or in search for a job.

The employment rate for population aged 15-64 was 52.1 percent. Endit
