Botswana team arrives in Uganda ahead of Afcon qualifier

The Botswana national football team, Zebras arrived in Uganda on Wednesday ahead of their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier against the hosts on Saturday.

"We are here for a serious mission and we are aware our opponents are a strong team," Botswana's head coach Peter Butler told Xinhua.

Butler said he has been forced to make several changes because of the kind of team they are going to face.

"We know Uganda has a good defense and midfield, but we know what to do," said the coach whose team got exposure in the just ended COSAFA Senior Challenge Cup in South Africa where they lost out at the semifinal stage.

Mogakolodi Ngele who features for South African top Premier League side Mamelodi Sundowns is part of the team.

"We are capable of getting a win in Uganda and we are here to play our hearts out," said Ofentse Nato who plays for Mpumalanga Black Aces in South Africa.

The squad includes Tebogo Sosome, Kabelo Dambe, Edwin Olerile, Obonye Moswate, Mosha Gaolaolwe, Hendrick Moyo, Onkabetse Makgantai, Mpho Kgaswane, Obuile Ncenga, Katlego Koobake, Tapiwa Gadibolae, Lopang Mosige, Kabelo Seakanyeng, Omaatla Kebatho, Segolame Boy, Lebogang Ditsele, Mogakolodi Ngele, Joel Mogorosi, Mwampule Masule and Ofentse Nato.
