LME base metals close mixed on Wednesday

The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed mixed on Wednesday.

The rising U.S. dollar index gave momentum to some dollar-denominated metals prices. Besides, the U.S. dollar against the euro hit the weakest since mid-May earlier this morning.

The three-month unofficial copper price increased 35 U.S. dollars, or 0.58 percent, to 6,037.5 dollars per tonne.

The three-month unofficial aluminium price increased 5 dollars, or 0.28 percent, to 1,766 dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial lead price lost 3 dollars, or 0.15 percent, to 1,941 dollars a tonne.

Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price lost 12.5 dollars, or 0.58 percent, to 2,161 dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial nickel price increased 95 dollars, or 0.71 percent, to 13,525 dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial tin price lost 50 dollars, or 0.32 percent, to 15,350 dollars a tonne. Endit
