Taiwan stocks close 1.16 pct higher

Taiwan's share prices closed up 1.16 percent on Wednesday with the weighted index up 106.63 points at 9,298.50, according to news reaching here from Taipei.

Turnover totaled 98.04 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 3.15 billion U.S. dollars) during the trading session. Endi
