Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday sent condolences to his Ghanaian counterpart John Dramani Mahama over a deadly gas station blast that killed over 100 people in the African country last week.

Xi expressed condolences for the victims who lost their lives in the fatal blast, which occurred as many were taking shelter at a gas station in the Ghanaian capital Accra to escape a heavy downpour.

The Chinese leader also expressed deep sympathy for the bereaved families as well as those who sustained injuries in the incident. Endi
