Vietnamese deputy PM to attend 3rd China-South Asia Expo

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai will visit China's Yunnan Province and attend the opening ceremony of the third China-South Asia Expo as well as the 23rd Kunming Import and Export Fair on June 11-13.

Pham Thu Hang, vice spokesperson of Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs made the announcement at a regular press briefing held in capital Hanoi on Thursday.

Hai's trip is at the invitation of organizers of the third China-South Asia Expo, organizers of the 23rd Kunming Import and Export Fair and Yunnan Province, Hang said.

According to Hang, Hai's visit to China's Yunnan and his presence at the two events will help boost Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in general and Vietnam-Yunnan Province friendship in particular, making these relationships more stable and healthy.

The visit will also add contents to the bilateral cooperation, especially in areas of economy, trade, tourism, investment, and infrastructure development among others.

The two sides will discuss measures to further intensify connectivity in infrastructure, economic management and development in border areas as well as measures to ensure bilateral economic, trade relations be balanced and sustained, Hang told reporters. Endi
