French stock market index up 0.59 pct on Wednesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with an advance of 0.59 percent at 5,034.17 points on Wednesday, up 29.71 points.

With Greece and its creditors supposed to reach an agreement soon, the CAC 40 closed higher on Wednesday with 28 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Wednesday were ArcelorMittal, up 3.05 percent, BNP Paribas, up 2.23 percent, Alstom, up 2.18 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Wednesday were Unibail-Rodamco, down 1.66 percent, Safran, down 1.16 percent, and Peugeot, down 1.13 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with a decrease of 0.41 percent at 5,004.46 points, down 20.84 points. Endit
