The Brave Warriors of Namibia have each been given 50,000 Namibian dollars (4,070 U.S dollars) for winning the Council of Southern Africa Football Association this year.
Namibia's president Hage Geingob handed over a cheque to the team at a luncheon he held at State House on Wednesday.
Made up largely of youthful players, the Brave Warriors lifted the trophy Saturday after beating Mozambique 2-0.
Since its return, the team has paraded the trophy in the capital Windhoek in addition to the luncheon hosted by Geingob.
A local company has also created a logo - OkaMannetti - derived from coach Ricardo Mannetti's splint when the final whistle signaling the end of the match with Mozambique ended.
Sports minister Jerry Ekandjo said that since the team did not have a logo, OkaMannetti should be adopted. Endi
