France drawn with Italy in Fed Cup world Group first round

Fed Cup semifinalists of this season, France, have been drawn to host Italy for the 2016 World Group first round here at Roland Garros on Wednesday.
The draw took place at the French Tennis Federation (FFT) Museum in the presence of Francesco Ricci Bitti, president of the International Tennis Federation and the FFT president Jean Gachassin.
The first round play of the elite women's tennis event has been slated on Feb. 6-7, 2016.
