China and South Korea signed a free trade agreement ( FTA) here on Monday, sharing views that the free trade pact will serve as an all-round cooperative platform for both governments and companies to seek new growth engines.

Chinese Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng and his South Korean counterpart Yoon Sang-jick signed the bilateral FTA in Seoul, three years after the two countries began talks in May 2012. ( South Korea-China-FTA)

DHAKA -- The Detective Branch (DB) of Bangladesh Police have arrested two traffickers and rescued 17 trafficking victims heading to northern Pacific nation of Palau in capital Dhaka.

DB Assistant Commissioner Mahamud Naser told the media on Monday that "The victims were rescued Sunday night. They were being trafficked to Palau via Indonesia and Thailand." (Bangladesh- Trafficking)

JAKARTA -- The number of foreign holidaymakers coming to Indonesia in April scaled up by 3.13 percent to 749,900 people on yearly basis, the national statistic bureau announced here on Monday.

In Bali, the center of Indonesia's tourism industry, the number of foreign tourist visiting the beautiful resort island rose by 11. 5 percent to 309,900 on year, Suryamin, head of the bureau told a press conference at the bureau headquarters. (Indonesia-Tourism)

DHAKA -- Two years after the country's worst-ever industrial tragedy that claimed 1,137 lives and injured scores, Bangladesh police have submitted charge-sheets against 42 people including building owner Sohel Rana.
