One killed, four injured in Nigeria market bomb explosion

Xinhua, June 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

One bystander was killed and four others injured when a bomb exploded inside a local market in Nigeria's northeastern state of Borno on Sunday, local police said.

The attack occurred less than 24 hours after another attack killed at least 25 near a big market in Maiduguri, the state capital.

Sunday's attack also occurred in Maiduguri, the known headquarters of Boko Haram, a terror group proving to be a hard nut to crack in Nigeria, Africa's most populous country.

Witnesses said a suspected Boko Haram bomber concealed the explosive devices in a bag containing some charcoal. The blast occurred from the bag, the witnesses added.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, according to Martha Daniel, a witness. Endi
