Tokyo shares open mixed on overheating concerns

Tokyo shares opened mixed on Friday as sentiment here was weighed by overheating concerns after the benchmark Nikkei index reaching a 10-day winning in the previous day.

At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average inched down 1. 16 points, or 0.01 percent, from Thursday to 20,550.30.

While, the broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 2.64 points, or 0.16 percent, at 1, 675.40. Endi
