Xinhua, May 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

Despite their loss in the final of Asian Woman' s Volleyball Championships, the South Korean still aims at the gold medal of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

"From now on we shouldn' t prepare just for Asia-level matches but for the Olympic Games," said Kim Yeongkoung, captain of South Korea, "and our goal at Rio Olympics will be the gold medal."

Kim was awarded as the best spiker in this year' s Championship together with China' s Zhu Ting. Although the latter acquired the MVP, Kim had better performance in the final with the match-high 22 points.

"Zhu Ting made so much progress compared with last year, China will not be a full squad without her." Kim spoke highly about her younger opponent.

South Korea was swept 0-3 in the final tonight. They finished all three sets with the narrow gap 21-25.

"If we worked harder we might finish better," said Lee Jungchul, head coach of South Korea, "but China is the best team in Asia so we can be satisfied with the result." Endi
