Police drones may be used in Australian counter-terrorism operations

Two new Queensland police drones unveiled for crime scene evidence gathering and criminal activity monitoring may be used in counter-terrorism operations in Australia, local media reported Thursday.

Queensland Police Minister Jo-Ann Miller said the drone evidence would be used in criminal cases, however, she declined to comment on the their use in counter-terrorist operations, sighting national security.

"It's a situation where we stand united with our federal counterparts to make sure that Queensland and Australia are always safe," Miller said. Endi
