Morocco, France on track to enhance economic ties

Xinhua, May 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

Morocco and France will hold Thursday their 12th high level meeting in Paris, targeting at raising mutural economic ties.

This high-level meeting, which seeks to give new impulse to the relations between the two countries, will witness the signing of over 20 agreements in areas such as transport, renewable energy, the digital sector and tourism.

In addition to political, security and social issues, this meeting will focus on emerging markets in the region, especially in Africa.

On the sidelines of the event, a France-Morocco Business Leaders Club Forum will be held to explore new business partnerships.

Morocco announced Wednesday that the Head of the Government Abdelilah Benkirane will co-chair with his French peer Manuel Valls in the meeting.

Despite steady growth in export volumes, France's share of the Moroccan market has been declining since 2000 as a result of the opening up of the country's markets. Endit
