Xinhua, May 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

A photo exhibition of migratory birds kicked off here on Wednesday to celebrate the World Migratory Bird Day, an official said.

More than 20 photos of 13 species of migratory birds in Cambodia are being displayed at the 10-day event at a public park in front of Wat Botum pagoda.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Environment in cooperation with the Wildlife Conservation Society, Birdlife International, and ASEAN Center for Biodiversity, Environment Ministry Secretary of State Yin Kimsan said at the opening ceremony of the exhibition. "It aims to promote awareness about migratory birds and to encourage people to jointly protect and preserve the birds and their habitats," he said, adding that the World Migratory Bird Day is annually celebrated in May.
