Belarusian president postpones visit to Pakistan

Xinhua, May 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has postponed his two-day official visit to Pakistan due to the death of his mother, his spokeswoman Natalya Eismont said Tuesday.

"The visit to Pakistan by Belarusian President is expected to take place on May 28-29. The delay was caused by the death of Alexander Lukashenko's mother," Eismont told the Belarus 1 television station, adding that the format of Lukashenko's trip to Pakistan would remain unchanged.

The Belarusian president is scheduled to hold a number of meetings while in Pakistan, including talks with the country's president and prime minister. Endite
