Low fares airline Ryanair sees big increase in full-year profits

Xinhua, May 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Ryanair, Europe's biggest low fares airline, on Tuesday announced a full year net profit of 867 million euros (943 million U.S. dollars), up 66 percent over a year ago.

The Ireland-based airline said its passenger traffic for the year to the end of March was up 11 percent to 90.6 million customers, while total revenue rose 12 percent to over 5.6 billion euros.

Ryanair attributed the big increase to lower fares and improved customer service.

The company said its net profit is expected to rise to a range of 940 million to 970 million euros for the full year to March 2016. Endit
