Traffic accidents in Austria cause 8 deaths during Pentecost weekend

Eight people died in traffic accidents in Austria over the Pentecost long weekend from Friday to Monday, Austria Press Agency reported on Tuesday.

The death toll is lower than the 13 casualties over the same long weekend in 2014, though is in line with the long-term average.

The casualties include five people who died when a train struck a car on a railway crossing in Purgstall an der Erlauf in the state of Lower Austria on Friday evening. Endit
