Juncker congratulates Andrzej Duda on election as Polish President

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on Tuesday extended his congratulation to the newly-elected President of Poland Andrzej Duda and expressed hope for close cooperation with him.

"I would like to congratulate you on your election as President of Poland," Junker said in a congratulatory message.

Juncker added that he is confident that under Andrzej Duda's Presidency, Poland will continue to be a positive force for European integration and its economic development.

"I count on your active involvement in reinforcing the European Union's role as a strong actor on the global scene and promoter of democratic values," Juncker said. Endit
