Chinese top security official meets Afghan delegation

The joint fight against terrorism, separatism and extremism is an important part of bilateral cooperation between China and Afghanistan, Chinese top security official Meng Jianzhu said Tuesday.

Meng met with a delegation from the National Coalition of Afghanistan headed by General Secretary Mohammad Asim Asim.

Meng said China is ready to strengthen exchanges with Afghanistan on anti-terrorism efforts to create a favorable security environment for bilateral cooperation.

Meng said China and Afghanistan share a long-standing friendship and enjoy sound momentum in bilateral relations. He said China supports Afghanistan's efforts to realize peace and development.

Asim said Afghanistan treasures its friendly relationship with China and Communist Party of China. He expressed readiness to conduct closer cooperation with China. Endi
