Tajik hammer thrower Nazarov wins ticket to Rio Olympics

Tajik hammer thrower Dilshod Nazarov won the silver medal with 79.36 meters at the Golden Spike that was held in Ostrava, the Czech republic, on Monday, Tajikistan's National Olympic Committee (NOC) said Tuesday.

Dilshod Nazarov, 33, also won his tickets to the 2015 IAAF World Championships (to be held in Beijing on Aug 22-30) and to the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Nazarov finished behind Polish athlete Paul Faydek who bagged gold medal with 80.75 meters. Hungarian hummer thrower Kristian Pars got bronze with 77.71 meters.

Nazarov has attended 14 international competitions and has won 12 medals.

He won gold medal at the 17th Asian Games in Incheon (South Korea) that was the third time that Nazarov won gold medal in these competitions. Endi
