After nearly 25 years of collecting and now owning nearly 100,000 antique ceramic items, a 48-year-old man of Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City has been dubbed a " ceramic king," local online newspaper Vietnamnet reported on Tuesday.
Dinh Cong Tuong began collecting antique ceramic at the age of 24 after his aunt gave him an ancient bowl and plate as gifts. After two decades, he now has over 100,000 ceramic items of all kinds, mostly antiques with some unique ones.
His collection includes ancient pottery items of Vietnam, China, Singapore, France and Japan dating back from the 12th century to the early 20th century.
In 2011, the Guinness Book Center of Vietnam branded Tuong as the owner of the largest collection of ceramic antiques in Vietnam, with more than 80,000 items. He was also recognized as the owner of the largest collection of ancient vases in Vietnam. Endi
