Tokyo stocks end almost unchanged by break of Tuesday

Xinhua, May 26, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tokyo stocks ended almost unchanged in the morning session of Tuesday, as the boost to investor sentiment from the yen's continued weakness against the U.S. dollar was tempered by profit-taking after recent rally.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 2.48 points, or 0.01 percent, from Monday to end the morning at 20,416.25. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 0.52 point, or 0.03 percent, to 1,658.63.

Major decliners included securities and financing businesses, while air transport and pulp and paper led gainers. Endi
