Update: Tunisian soldier shot dead before injuring nine comrades

A Tunisian soldier who opened fire on Monday on his comrades was shot dead after injuring nine others, a military spokesman said.

The soldier opened fire indiscriminately on several National Guard agents in the Bouchoucha barracks, said Belhasaan Oueslati, spokesman for the Defense Ministry.

The assailant was not supposed to carry weapons at the time of the attack, Oueslati told radio Mosaique FM. Endit
