Beijing's observatory issued a blue alert Sunday for high temperature for the next two days.

Temperature could rise to 35 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday, and the observatory advised residents to guard against the hot weather. The heat alert is the first of its kind in 2015.

China has a four-tier color-coded weather warning system, with red representing the most severe weather, followed by orange, yellow and blue. Endi
