Pacific Int'l Tourism Expo 2015 opens in Vladivostok

The Pacific International Tourism Expo (PITE) 2015 opened at Russia's Far East Federal University here Thursday, bringing together about 300 companies from Russia and other Asian-Pacific countries to present their products and services.

PITE is the largest platform for boosting tourism in the Far East of Russia. Leaders of the tourism industry from the Asia-Pacific region attend the annual exhibition. The Republic of Korea has become Russia's partner country at the expo and is presenting its tourism operators and travel agencies.

Young-Soo Chung, a South Korean travel agent participating in the expo, told Xinhua: "We want to introduce our English village in Korea to not only the Russians, but also people from other countries. So, everyone is invited."

The event is organized by the Department of Tourism of Russia's Primorsky Kray region with the support of the Federal Tourism Agency, and is expected to attract about 25,000 visitors from around the world. Endi
