15 killed in S China storms

At least 15 people have been killed in storms that have swept south China over the past five days, the Ministry of Civil Affairs said on Monday.

Another five are missing, it said.

Almost three million people from 11 provinces have been affected by heavy rain that has battered China's south since Wednesday. Authorities have relocated some 38,000 people, and 35,000 are still in urgent need of relief, the ministry said. Endi
